The Film Content Protection Agency (FCPA) is calling all exhibitors in the UK & Republic of Ireland to get involved in its “Six weeks of Spring” initiative, which looks to deter film theft and copyright infringement.

A key goal of the FCPA programme is to help develop the awareness and vigilance of cinema staff throughout the UK & Ireland by providing exhibitors with anti-piracy training, current best practice guidelines and other resources, free of charge.

Resources include an online learning quiz, which refreshes the detailed knowledge needed to identify and disrupt illegal recording activity. Participating staff members are eligible to enter a draw offering a £500 prize quarterly.

With a strong line-up of forthcoming releases, the FCPA is encouraging continued high levels of vigilance to help deter film theft and copyright infringement. To support this request, they have launched another “Six weeks of Spring” initiative, which will run from Thursday 26 April to 8 June.

During this time, the existing £500 quarterly prize on the FCPA online quiz will be supplemented by six additional weekly prizes of £50 Amazon vouchers.

The winners will be selected from cinema staff who successfully during the time period.
