GEICO teams up with Guardians of the Galaxy for new campaign

For the past few years, US Insurance company GEICO has entertained consumers with a unique brand of humour based on its ‘15% or more’ tagline.

In the brand’s latest ad, its mascot, the GEICO gecko, teams up with Baby Groot from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 movie, with a punchline that plays on the character's limited vocabulary.

Opening in a cinema where the new film plays out on the big screen, the ad sees the gecko imagining what would happen if he was to team up with the space-saving gang of misfits, leading to a funny conversation. It's definitely one of the better movie-brand collaborations we'll see this year. Check the ad out below.

Guardians of the Galaxy is released in UK cinemas on Friday 28 April.
