Box office hero Dwayne Johnson is back in Rampage, which is released in cinemas nationwide today (Thursday 12 April). Johnson plays primatologist Davis Okoye who shares an unshakable bond with George, the gorilla. However, a rogue genetic experiment transforms George, and a wolf and a crocodile into raging monsters. As these newly created monsters tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote.

The film has opened to positive reviews with The Telegraph claiming “Dwayne Johnson’s latest boisterous film is your new Friday night date”, giving it 4 Stars.

Rampage marks the first of a run of epic blockbusters hitting the big screen this summer. In the space of the next four weeks we have three bona-fide mega blockbusters. The Avengers  return for their biggest adventure yet as they finally take on the might of Thanos. A superhero of a very different kind returns in the middle of May in Deadpool 2 and, at the end of the month, the second Star Wars Anthology film focusses on the series’ most popular character in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Two of the most exciting blockbusters of the summer also run throughout the FIFA World Cup tournament, with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Ocean’s 8.

We’re expecting big things and there’s still a chance to maximise opportunities around all of these films. Contact your DCM rep to find out more or plan your campaign using DCM’s Online Planner.
