Savoy Cinema Nottingham celebrates 80 years

The Savoy Cinema in Nottingham celebrated 80 years last Saturday (7 November). The cinema opened in 1935 and is now Nottingham’s oldest surviving cinema.

In order to celebrate in style, the Savoy put on a week of special events which included discounted cinema tickets, special screenings of The Italian Job and Back To The Future, as well as offering 80 free cinema tickets to lucky winners.
