Screen Awards 2017 winners announced

The annual Screen Awards took place last week (Thursday 31 October) at a ceremony held at the Grange St Paul's Hotel. 

The competition honours and celebrates the best of marketing, distribution and exhibition in the film industry.

A successful night for the DCM estate, winners included Vue West End, who picked up the Cinema of the Year – From a Company 25 Screens or Over, and Zeffirellis and Fellinis, who won Cinema of the Year - 24 Screens or Under.

Steve Knibbs, chief operating officer at Vue International, also received the Exhibition Achievement Award, which is sponsored by the UK Cinema Association.

Phil Clapp, CEO of the UK Cinema Association, commented: “There is no one working in the UK cinema industry today more deserving of this award than Steve. His dedication to our industry over the last three decades is unsurpassed, and his insight into the sector is respected by all." 

Finally, the Brand Partnership of the Year Award, which is proudly sponsored by DCM, was won by The Walt Disney Company for its Rogue One: A Star Wars Story & World Duty Free collaboration.
