Roald Dahl's The BFG comes to the big screen next year, courtesy of Steven Spielberg, and a teaser trailer for the movie has today been unveiled.
One of the nation’s favourite books from one of Britain’s most beloved authors gets the big screen treatmenet in this live-action blockbuster directed by one of the greatest filmmakers of all time…it should spell box office gold!
The BFG is the exciting tale of an unlikely friendship between a young girl named Sophie and a big friendly giant (BFG) who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country. Together they enlist the help of the Queen of England and set out on an adventure to capture the evil giants who have been marauding the human world.
The Steven Spielberg-directed film also boasts a great cast including Bill Hader, Penelope Wilton, Rebecca Hall and Mark Rylance as The BFG.
The BFG will be released on 22 July 2016 - Dahl's centenary year.
