2025 Golden Globe Awards Winners

Last night, the winners of the 82nd Golden Globes Awards were revealed at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles, kicking off the 2025 Awards Season in style.

The big winning films of the night were The Brutalist and Emilia Pérez. Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist received awards for Best Film – Drama, Best Director and Best Male Actor in a Film – Drama for Adrien Brody. The Brutalist will be released in UK cinemas from 24 January 2025.

Emilia Pérez received awards for Best Film – Musical or Comedy, Best film – Non-English Language, Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Film for Zoe Saldaña and Best Original Song – Film for El Mal. Emilia Pérez is available to watch at select UK cinemas now.

Fernanda Torres received the Golden Globe for Best Female Actor in a Film – Drama, for her performance as Eunice Paiva in Brazilian film I’m Still Here. The film will get its UK release on 21 February 2025. Demi Moore received the award for Best Female Actor in a Film – Musical or Comedy for her character Elisabeth in The Substance, and Sebastian Stan received the award for Best Male Actor in a Film – Musical or Comedy for his role as Edward in A Different Man. The Golden Globe for Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role in a Film went to Kieran Culkin for his role of Benji Kaplan in A Real Pain, which plays in UK cinemas from 8 January 2025.

In other awards, Peter Straughan received Best Screenplay – Film for Conclave, which is still playing in cinemas across the country. Flow received the Golden Globe for Best Film – Animated, and will be available to watch in UK cinemas from 21 March 2025. Best Original Score – Film went to Challengers.

The Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Award went to Jon M. Chu’s global box office hit Wicked. Starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, the film became the third biggest film of 2024 in less than six weeks!
