2015 EE BAFTA Award nominations announced

The nominations for the 2015 BAFTA awards are here, which bodes the question: Who will win a golden face at this year’s ceremony?

Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel received the largest number of nominations at this year’s BAFTAs, leading with 11. Birdman and The Theory of Everything are each nominated in ten categories. The Imitation Game has nine nominations. Boyhood and Whiplash are each nominated five times. Mr. TurnerNightcrawler and Interstellar receive four nominations, while Pride has three nominations. 

The nominees in the four main categories are:

Best Film:

Outstanding British Film:

Best actor:

  • Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game)
  • Ralph Fiennes (Grand Budapest Hotel)
  • Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler)
  • Michael Keaton (Birdman)
  • Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything)

Best actress:

  • Amy Adams (Big Eyes)
  • Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything)
  • Julianne Moore (Still Alice)
  • Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl)
  • Reese Witherspoon (Wild)

The BAFTA awards will take place on 8 February at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London and will be hosted by Stephen Fry.
