The 90th Academy Awards took place on Sunday, with Guillermo del Toro's The Shape of Water the big winner on the night. taking home both Best Picture and Best Director respectively.
Vetern British thespian Gary Oldman finally reached Oscars glory by claiming Best Actor for Darkest Hour, whereas Frances McDormand bagged her second Best Actress trophy for Three Billoards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Three Billboards also claimed Best Supporting Actor, with Sam Rockwell triumphing. Best Supporting Actress went to Allison Janney for her perfomance in I,Tonya.
Jordan Peele became the first black actor to win Best Original Screenplay, which he won for Get Out. Best Adapted Screenplay went to Call Me By Your Name.
Disney maintained their tight hold on the Academy Awards, picking up Best Animated Feature for Coco, and Best Foreign Language Film went to Sebastián Lelio’s A Fantastic Woman.
