Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical

  • Release date: 25 November 2022
  • Target audience: Families
  • Est. DCM admissions: 2.3m

"The festival’s standout has to be it’s opening Gala with Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical, a film so British it has Emma Thompson in a set of crooked dentures. I can’t wait for the public to get their hands on it and experience the sheer joy this film radiates.”

The Menu

  • Release date: 18 November 2022
  • Target audience: ABC1 Adults
  • Est. DCM admissions: 347k

The Menu is a darkly funny satire of high-end dining and the Chef’s Table phenomenon, as the mystery behind Chef Slowik’s theatrical gastronomical experience becomes all too real for his invited guests. Anchored by superb performances by Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy, it’s a real crowd-pleaser delivering on laughs and shocks”

Michael Tull, Business Director

Empire of Light

  • Release date: 13 January 2023
  • Target audience: ABC1 Adults
  • Est. DCM admissions: 1.5m

“Blending together a coming-of-age story and unlikely romance with individual stories of racial attacks and mental health – Mendes tackles a lot in a 2-hour runtime, but at the centre of all this remains a beautiful cinema (where ticket prices are £1.50) the characters can retreat to.”

Korrine Eshun, Agency Manager

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

  • Release date: 23 November 2022
  • Target audience: ABC1 Adults
  • Est. DCM admissions: 150k

"Quite simply, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is a must-see at the cinema at the end of November, and if you’re like me you’ll leave wanting to watch it all over again as soon as it hits Netflix at Christmas. The film is packed with so many smart quips, laugh-out loud jokes, surprises, and plot twists along the way.”

Michael Tull, Business Director

Bones and All

Release date: 23 November 2022
Target audience: 18-34 Adults
Est. DCM admissions: 50k

"Bones & All is a wild film and I absolutely loved it. It manages to blend different styles of film and themes that you would normally expect to clash and does so with heaps of style. On the surface it is bloody and gruesome, but you quickly get used to it, focussing instead on the sweet young love story at its heart."

Bruno McKay, Agency Manager, DCM Studios

Till

  • Release date: 13 January 2023
  • Target audience: ABC1 Women
  • Est. DCM admissions: 69k

“Effortlessly beautiful & poignant… Chinonye Chukwu’s film Till never shies away from the horrific brutality but never in a means to exploit – she only serves to educate and inform and does so in one of the standout films of the festival."

Korrine Eshun, Agency Manager

Women Talking

  • Release date: 17 February 2023
  • Target audience: ABC1 Women
  • Est. DCM admissions: 69k

"Sarah Polley’s beautifully directed adaptation deals in important issues, asking big questions and holding a mirror up to society and does so in an incredibly gripping fashion. Stunning performances all round from the cast.”

Michael Tull, Business Director
