There is a whole host of alcohol friendly films in UK cinema this summer. Ranging from Comedies to Thrillers, Art House to Actioners, there is something to sate every cinemagoer's thirst for films.

First up on 5 July is magical heist movie, Now You See Me, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Morgan Freeman. The plot focuses on an FBI agent and an Interpol detective as they track a team of illusionists that pulls off bank heists during its performances and rewards audiences with the money.

Pub Crawl movie, The World’s End, is out on 19 July. The final movie in “The Cornetto Trilogy”, from Messrs Pegg, Frost and Wright, revolves around five friends who reunite in an attempt to top their epic pub crawl from 20 years earlier, as they unwittingly become humankind's only hope for survival.

The leading man of the moment, Ryan Gosling, reunites with Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive) to bring us Only God Forgives on 2 August. Julian (Gosling), a drug-smuggler thriving in Bangkok's criminal underworld, sees his life get even more complicated when his mother compels him to find and kill whoever is responsible for his brother's recent death.

Ramping up the testosterone stakes, Vin Diesel returns to the big screen as Riddick on 6 September. Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge.

Filth, with James McAvoy, releases 27 September. McAvoy stars as Bruce Robertson, a bipolar, bigoted junkie cop, who manipulates and hallucinates his way through the festive season in a bid to secure promotion and win back his wife and daughter.
