Alice In Wonderland 3D will now open nationwide in all cinemas on Friday. Tim Burton’s fresh take on Lewis Carroll’s bewitching tale boasts an all-star cast including Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway and newcomer Mia Wasikowska as Alice.
There are also starring roles for a menagerie of fantastical characters such as the White Rabbit, voiced by Michael Sheen, Alan Rickman’s caterpillar, Matt Lucas as Tweedledum and Tweedledee, and the Cheshire Cat, voiced by Stephen Fry.
Currently estimated to take about £30m in the box office, it is almost certain to finally knock Avatar off its perch in the weekly box office ratings next week.
