The first blockbuster of 2019, the monumental Avengers: Endgame, was released in UK cinemas yesterday.
The film has been touted as the most anticipated film of the year and has lived up to that title with the biggest opening day for a film in history, grossing £11.6m, sweeping away competition from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the previous Avengers film, Infinity War.
Fans and critics across the board have been showering the blockbuster with praise, with Ryan Parker writing in The Hollywood Reporter "It’s incredible. I’m speechless" and Kyle Buchanan simply adding in the New York Time "Endgame>Infinity War".
MyMovies caught up with the directors of the film, Anthony & Joe Russo, to talk through what audiences can expect from the culmination of Marvel's 10-year story.
Avengers: Endgame sees the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films.
