Butlins taps into family audiences at the cinema

Family-friendly resort, Butlins, has teamed up with Digital Cinema Media and ODEON to sponsor 'ODEON Kids’ in 2009. Butlins has previously run on-screen campaigns in cinema, but this is their first foray into cinema sponsorship.

The sponsorship will see Butlins run a 7-minute film within a solus ad reel prior to ODEON Kids screenings, which take place on weekends and school holidays at 86 venues nationwide. The sponsorship will be supported and amplified with advertisements in the ODEON magazine, the ODEON website and email newsletters.

The famous 'Redcoats', accompanied by kid’s characters, will be delighting children in the cinema foyer on selected dates and venues throughout the year, bringing the partnership to life. Foyer activity will also make use of their exclusive access to characters such as Bob the Builder, Angelina Ballerina and Pingu.

Butlins also has exhibition in the form of an advert with all family film screenings at ODEON cinemas. The sponsorship was developed by Digital Cinema Media with the creative coming from Libertine London and media planned and booked through Zed Media.
