Cast and writers confirmed for 25th Bond Film

Long-awaited details of the 25th James Bond film were announced yesterday morning (25 April 2019).

The film will be directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, with Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw and Jeffrey Wright all confirmed to return.

Rami Malek has been confirmed to play the main villain of the film, alongside new additions Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch and Billy Magnussen.

Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge was confirmed as part of a writing team also including Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns and director Cary Joji Fukunaga.

The film remains as of yet untitled.

The details were announced by producers Michael G.Wilson and Barbara Brocolli in a special live-stream from Ian Flemming’s house in Jamaica.

Wilson and Broccoli commented, “We’re thrilled to return to Jamaica with Bond 25, Daniel Craig’s fifth instalment in the 007 series, where Ian Fleming created the iconic James Bond character and Dr No and Live And Let Die were filmed.”

The 007 production will be based at Pinewood Studios in the UK and on location in London, Italy, Jamaica and Norway.

James Bond will return to UK cinemas on 3 April 2020.
