The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF) raised a record-breaking amount of £145,000 - an increase of 45% on last year's total - at its annual London Party on Thursday 30 June as the industry came together to celebrate at London’s Gibson Hall.
The CTBF is the leading UK charity for people working behind the scenes in film, cinema and commercial television, and holds the event each year to raise funds to support those facing hardship.
The latest party also saw the highest-ever media package auctioned off - at £644,802 - as over 350 industry guests turned out in East London to show their support for the cause.
This year, the fancy dress theme was box sets and Sony Pictures won the Best Dressed Table prize on the night, arriving in an iconic Ghostbusters Ecto-1 vehicle and aided by an inflated Stay Puft character costume.
The keynote address in 2016 was delivered by scriptwriter and producer, Julie Daly-Wallman, with the evening’s festivities hosted by entertainer and TV personality, Christopher Biggins (Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie).
A team from DCM was naturally in attendance and this time dressed as characters from popular UK TV comedy series Little Britain (pictured, top). DCM's Marketing Manager, Anastasia Takis, won Best Tweet on the night which you can see on Twitter.
