Cinematic Storytelling with film-maker Ben Wheatley at Advertising Week Europe

Advertising Week Europe 2018 has been taking place in London at Picturehouse Central this week, with delegates already making the most of daytime seminars and workshops that feature some of the industry’s brightest minds, as well as attending organized networking and world-class entertainment events.

As a founding partner of the festival for the sixth consecutive year, Digital Cinema Media (DCM) has been taking part again with a series of events throughout the week.

Cinematic Storytelling

On Thursday 22 March at 3.20pm on the IPA Stage, DCM's Head of Film, Tom Linay, will host a Q&A with leading Film-Maker Ben Wheatley, discussing highlights from his career to date, recent film projects, how to bring compelling stories to the big screen and what’s next. They'll also discuss the numerous ad campaigns that Ben has directed with representation by Moxie Pictures.

European Leadership Roundtable

Our CEO, Karen Stacey, participated in Monday's European Leadership Roundtable alongside James Wildman CEO & President, Hearst; Stuart Flint VP, EMEA, Oath and James Brown Managing Director, EMEA, Rubicon Project. The panel discussed this rapidly evolving landscape, as well as, the timeless values of creativity, leadership skills, talent development and big ideas. DCM Film Club presents Isle of Dogs

DCM & Fox Searchlight partnered to host the official movie night at Advertising Week Europe 2018. Almost 300 guests were treated to an exclusive preview screening of Wes Anderson’s highly anticipated Isle Of Dogs. There was also a red-carpet arrival and champagne reception, with bespoke goody bags for guests to take away!

The film tells the story of Atari Kobayashi who sets off alone on an odyssey in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots when, by Executive Decree, all canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage dump called Trash island and is in cinemas nationwide on 30 March.
