Celebrating this week’s release of Creed (15 January) and Sylvester Stallone’s Best Supporting Actor win at the 2016 Golden Globes, Warner Bros. has been promoting its new Rocky sequel with a live orchestra stunt at London's Chancery Lane Underground station.
Unsuspecting commuters on the Tube were treated to a brass band playing the iconic Rocky theme tune as they climbed the stairs. They were cheered on boxer-style as they made the journey upwards and were hi-fived by actors in tracksuits and headbands when they reached the top.
Award-winning filmmaker Ryan Coogler’s Creed explores a new chapter in the “Rocky” story and stars Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone in his iconic role. The film also reunites Coogler with his “Fruitvale Station” star Michael B. Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed.
Creed will be released in UK Cinemas on 15 January 2016.
