Over the past few weeks, fans of all ages have been enjoying Hasbro Studios’ My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks film in cinemas nationwide.
The film launched on 25 October and ran until 2 November and is the first feature film that Digital Cinema Media (DCM) has distributed via satellite to 80 Vue sites.
Rainbow Rocks is an animated musical comedy film sequel to 2013’s My Little Pony: Equestria Girls, and a spin-off of the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic animated television series. The film re-envisions the main characters of the series, normally ponies, as human characters in a high school setting. The film’s plot involves Twilight Sparkle’s friends and Sunset Shimmer from Canterlot High in need of Twilight’s help.
General Manager Tom Cosgrove said: "At Discovery Family, we are committed to airing the latest in high-quality, family-friendly entertainment. Our young audience adores the My Little Pony brand, and their parents can appreciate the positive themes of friendship and teamwork featured throughout the My Little Pony Equestria Girls films."
