Digital Cinema Media has been shortlisted for five awards at the 2023 Media Leaders Awards. This makes DCM the most shortlisted media company of this year’s awards, closely followed by Zenith and Wavemaker who are each shortlisted for four awards.
DCM’s CEO Karen Stacey has been shortlisted for Media Owner Leader of the Year, alongside Jane Wolfson, Chief Commercial Officer at Hearst, Matthew Dearden, Founder and CEO of Alight Media, and Verica Djurdjevic, Chief Revenue Officer at Channel 4. Karen Stacey recently received the award for CEO of the Year at the Campaign Female Frontier Awards, and we are incredibly pleased and proud that her achievements continue to be recognised across the wider media industry.
Regional Sales Director Rachael Cochrane has been shortlisted for Future Media Leader of the Year, alongside Chris Dunne, Head of Marketing at Thinkbox, Lizzie Wiltshire, Head of Client Solutions, Europe for Samsung Ads, Louise Twycross-Lewis, Head of Insight at PHD UK, and Sammie Eales, Insight Manager for Mail Metro Media. Rachael joined DCM in September 2021, and has been instrumental in reviving the cinema medium across the regions after cinemas re-opened after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Digital Cinema Media has been shortlisted as a company for three further awards. The first is Media Owner of the Year, which recognises companies that display media excellence over the past 12 months, citing critical business success stories across all forms of their business, especially what made them stand out against their competitors. DCM has been shortlisted for this alongside Bloomberg, Channel 4 and Pearl & Dean.
DCM has also been shortlisted for Leadership Team of the Year, which recognises an entire leadership team at companies that displayed strategic, innovative, and pioneering business decisions over a 12-month period. Also shortlisted for this award are Mediabridge, Ozone and Zenith.
And finally, the Talent Excellence Award, an award which recognises companies that have demonstrated commitment results, and exceptional tenacity in the investment of their talent. Just a further two companies are shortlisted for the Talent Excellence Award alongside DCM: Brixton Finishing Schooland Zenith.
This year’s panel of judges include media leaders from across the industry. The panel is formed of 20 judges, including IPA Director-General Paul Bainsfair, Newsworks CEO Jo Allan, Advertising Association CEO Stephen Woodford, Thinkbox CEO Lindsey Clay, ISBA Director-General Phil Smith, Route Research CEO Denise Turner, and The Media Leader‘s Editor Omar Oakes.
The Media Leaders Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 26 April in London, where the winners will be announced. On the evening, the judges will also reveal the winners of the Grand Prix: Media Leader of the Year award and the winners of the Judges Special Choice Awards.
