DCM has been shortlisted for two Campaign Female Frontier Awards. These awards celebrate women who break boundaries in advertising, and companies that champion diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.

Karen Stacey, DCM’s CEO, has been shortlisted for CEO of the Year. Karen faced the toughest challenge in media when the pandemic struck, closed cinemas and dropped revenue to zero overnight. However, with 35 years’ experience across media, and the DCM attitude of “Always Looking Forward”, Karen rebuilt the company, team and industry reputation. Cinema’s latest figures are proof of Karen’s resilience and leadership, and how the industry has bounced back stronger than ever.

Karen is in amongst great company, nominated for this category alongside Claire Humphris from Iris, Kelly Parker from Wavemaker UK, Natalie Bell from MG OMD and Tamara Littleton from The Social Element.

DCM has also been shortlisted for the award for Diverse-Inclusive Workplace. Karen Stacey and the DCM team recognise and believe strongly that diversity and inclusion are far more than a box ticking exercise. It’s about respecting the needs and potential of every member of staff and earning trust and commitment from their employees. As a result, DCM has been voted one of Campaign’s Best Places to Work for five consecutive years, and has achieved a membership to the Advertising Association’s ‘All In Champion’ initiative for creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong in.

Also shortlisted for Diverse-Inclusive Workplace are Iris, Ketchum UK, Mail Metro Media and Omnicom Media Group, who all have ongoing initiatives to champion diversity and inclusivity throughout the workplace.

This year, the Campaign Female Frontiers Awards are being judged by a panel of industry leaders chaired by Jackie Stevenson, chief growth officer, EMEA, at Interpublic Group.

The winners will be announced on Thursday 16 March at an exclusive awards ceremony in London.
