From 1939 to 1975, films were regularly shown at the Opera House, a world famous venue. Dwindling audiences because of the emergence of television saw the cinema screen later ripped out however, almost four decades later, the one screen site venue spent £130,000 installing a new screen, surround sound and a new projection system, kicking off its new era of cinema earlier this year.
One of the country’s largest theatres with a seating capacity of almost 3,000, it makes another great addition to the DCM portfolio, helping us continue to grow our 80% market share.
