DCM’s Weekly Cinemagoing round-up: Tenet posts a strong hold on second weekend…

After its second weekend, Tenet has now been in cinemas for 12 days and in that time has already become the 10th biggest film of 2020, inspiring the box office to its second biggest weekend since March.

X-Men spin-off The New Mutants was the weekend’s second biggest film, with Onward still driving forward in in third. Unhinged continues its impressive performance in fourth and is the third biggest film post-lockdown. 100% Wolf completed the top five. Marvel’s Black Panther made a timely return to the top 10 this weekend in ninth.

Comscore are reporting that there were 664 cinemas open in the UK and Ireland this past weekend (up from 640 last weekend), with 588 of them in the UK (up from 568).

The Broken Hearts Gallery is a teen comedy about a young woman who, after a breakup, decides to start a gallery where people can leave trinkets from past relationships.

The Roads Not Taken is a drama following a day in the life of Leo (Javier Bardem) and his daughter, Molly (Elle Fanning), as he floats through alternate lives he could have lived, leading Molly to wrestle with her own path as she considers her future.
