The deadline for the inaugural Digital Cinema Media Awards has been extended to Friday 17 July. The awards scheme, run in association with Campaign and Media Week, will celebrate and reward the best advertising work showcased in cinema by the media industry over the last year.

Digital Cinema Media (DCM), Campaign and Media Week want to know how you have used cinema to deliver exceptional payback on your clients’ advertising investment. It’s time to champion this work. It’s time to champion cinema.

Karen Stacey, DCM’s CEO, said: “Our inaugural Digital Cinema Media Awards are about championing and celebrating the very best in cinema advertising, campaigns with the WOW factor that truly engage and influence people through the unique cinema medium. Alongside our fantastic panel of judges, I look forward to reading the many creative and inventive ways our industry has used cinema to produce outstanding results for brands.”

An expert panel drawn from media and creative agencies and exhibitors will be chaired by Campaign’s Global Editor-in Chief, Claire Beale, who will judge submissions on Thursday 3 September. The very best campaigns will be celebrated at a red carpet ceremony on 23 September at The Ham Yard Hotel.

The five awards categories are:
•    Best use of dynamic targeting in cinema
•    Best use of cinema in an integrated campaign
•    Best long-term cinema campaign
•    Best newcomer to cinema
•    Best use of innovation in cinema

There is also an overall Grand Prix for the most effective and forward-thinking campaign of the last year.
