Next week sees the return of Mindshare’s annual Huddle event when the agency will host the media industry for a packed day full of seminars and workshops under the theme Huddle for Good.

As part of this year’s agenda, which runs from 10am to 5pm, DCM will hold a session focused on the thought that Cinema Changes Lives, inspired by Louis Theroux’s recent My Scientology Movie.

During the session, DCM’s Head of Film, Tom Linay, will be interviewing the film’s director, John Dower, to talk through the subject matter and look at cinema as a force for good in an unpredictable world.

They will also explore how movies can trigger constructive conversations and instigate real change, considering titles such as Super Size Me and Blackfish, which have acted as catalysts to inspire brands and businesses to think differently about their approach at a time when news spreads fast.

These meaningful films have succeeded in challenging audience perceptions, encouraging them to question their choices and challenge their experiences of the world to shape a better future. Expect to be entertained and intrigued, as we look at how films and the power of cinema can be a force for change.

DCM’s session will take place at 3pm on Thursday 17 November and there are 70 places available.
