Digital Cinema Media Awards 2017 deadline extended

The deadline for this year’s Digital Cinema Media Awards (DCM) has been extended for one week, meaning those planning to submit their best cinema campaigns from the past year have an extra week to enter. The new deadline for entries is Friday 14 July 2017.

Launched in 2015 in association with Campaign magazine, the Awards set out to recognise the best work in cinemas from over the past year. The winners will be recognised at a red carpet ceremony held at the Ham Yard Hotel in September.

The inaugural awards saw a host of top advertisers and media agencies enter their creative work to be judged by an esteemed panel of industry experts and in 2016, the competition went bigger and better with the second cycle.

In 2017, new categories have been introduced to reflect the evolution of the industry and the ways that brands have been innovating in the space over the past year.

The full list of award categories open for entries is as follows:

  • Best use of cinema (small)
  • Best use of cinema (large)
  • Best long-copy cinema campaign
  • Best newcomer to cinema
  • Best use of innovation in cinema
  • Best ‘marketing for good’ cinema campaign
  • GRAND PRIX

This year’s judging panel will once again be chaired by Claire Beale, the Global Editor-in-Chief of Campaign, and consists of a selection of senior industry professionals, including:

  • Paul Davies, Consumer Marketing Director, Microsoft

Prizes include cinema tickets, exclusive hire of our screening room, a red carpet experience for four people and a cinema screen time campaign to the value of £100,000.*

The winners will be announced on Thursday 27 September at a red carpet event at London’s Ham Yard Hotel.
