First ever Global Cinema ad to launch this Friday, 25 September

On Friday, 25 September 2015, the ‘First Ever Global Cinema Ad’ launches in over 30 countries, to utilise the power of cinema to engage the global cinema audience. 

The ad tells the story of the Global Goals campaign, founded by film director Richard Curtis with a bid to reach 7 billion people in 7 days with news of the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development. 193 world leaders are committing to 17 goals to achieve three extraordinary things in the next 15 years. End extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice and fix climate change.

Michelle Rodriguez joins Liam Neeson as a voice in the ad titled #WEHAVEAPLAN #TELLEVERYONE. Featuring world class animation from Wallace and Gromit creators, Aardman Animation, and creative led by legendary ad man, Sir John Hegarty, the film has a soundtrack which has been written and produced by Peter Gabriel.  

Cinemagoers will be able to interact with the Cinema ad via the Global Goals app created by CINIME International.  The app allows audiences to unlock content, which is exclusive to Cinemas, and share the Global Goals through their social media channels. You can also pick your favourite goal, take a selfie and share to your social media networks.

The Global Goals campaign is a huge collaboration of campaigners, artists, sports stars, performers and companies including the likes of Ashton Kutcher, Bill and Melinda Gates, Jennifer Lawrence, One Direction, Robert Pattinson, Robert Redford, Stephen Hawking, Gareth Bale, Gary Lineker, Theo Walcott, Beyonce, Pearl Jam, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay. 

The Global Cinema ad Premieres in New York City tomorrow night, the eve of the Global Goals gavelling at the United Nations headquarters on 25 September.
