Gnomeo & Juliet has reclaimed first place at the UK box office.
The 3D animation, which re-tells William Shakespeare's classic tale with a cast of garden gnomes, takes in £2.5m to lead the chart ahead of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's Paul.
New release I Am Number Four debuts at number three, while the half-term school holidays helped boost animated films Yogi Bear and Tangled up to fourth and fifth place respectively.
Elsewhere, romantic comedy No Strings Attached (number eight), starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman, and belated sequel West Is West (number ten) also debuted in the chart.
In the US, Gnomeo and Juliet narrowly lost out on the top spot to Hall Pass. The raunchy comedy, made by brothers Peter and Bobby Farrelly, took $13.5m (£8.3m) over the weekend, compared with $13.4m (£8.2m) for the gnomes.
