After touring the length and breadth of the country and beyond for the first series of UKCA Regional Meetings this year, DCM's Exhibition Director, Steven Davis, reflects below...

Belfast put on a superb show yesterday (16 May) at the inaugural Northern Ireland UKCA Meeting, which ended the H1 2017 tour of the UK.

We’ve literally travelled the length and breadth of the UK, from Glasgow to Redruth. It’s been great to catch up with all of you who have joined us.

I cannot underline the value of these meetings enough from a networking perspective. Only yesterday were we hearing of the marvellous plans the Belfast Strand and QFT have for the future and it was also great to meet more colleagues from the Brunswick Movie Bowl and Cookstown Regal, along with many other Exhibitors in attendance.

We also had updates on SMPTE, Into Film, Compare the Market, the Film Content Protection Agency and BFI Film Audience Network. All really useful stuff.

Please do join us for the next round of UKCA fun.

Below are the dates and venues for the Q4 2017 meetings. Put them in your diary now. If you’re a UKCA member do come and get your money’s worth. If you’re not, come and find out what it’s all about;

North and Midlands Light, Sheffield   Tuesday 12 September
Scotland Cameo, Edinburgh Tuesday 3 October
West of England Everyman, Bristol Thursday 5 October
Wales Chapter, Cardiff Thursday 12 October
London and South East Komedia, Brighton Tuesday 17 October
Northern Ireland tbc. tbc.

We hope to see you at one of the above

Warmest regards

Team DCM (Steve, Rebecca and David).
