Disney Pixar’s Inside Out 2 has become the highest-grossing animated film of all time at the global box office. The film has so far achieved $1.463bn at the global box office, and £47.2m at the UK box office.
The biggest film of 2024 to date, and the only film of 2024 to cross the $1bn mark, Inside Out 2 is now the 13th biggest global release of all time, surpassing Frozen 2’s global total of $1.454bn and Barbie’s global total of $1.446bn.
Currently at number 12 of the biggest theatrical releases of all time is 2022’s Top Gun: Maverick with $1.495bn, and with the summer holidays having just started, this could be a feasible target for Inside Out 2.
The film has a 91% critics score and a 96% audience score on rotten tomatoes, with audiences of all ages finding it clever, fun and moving. In the UK, Inside Out 2 has delivered 15 16-34 adult TVRs across the industry, and 19 16-34 women TVRs.
There are lots more films for all audiences to look forward to across H2 of 2024, including Harold and the Purple Crayon, The Wild Robot, Paddington In Peru and Moana 2.
