Digital Cinema Media is hugely pleased to welcome Jam Jar Cinemas and the Regent Street Cinema into our estate of venues.
Jam Jar Cinema is situated in the heart of Whitley Bay, and offers the best in local, friendly, affordable, inclusive and diverse cinema. Jam Jar Cinema is a historic idea where you used to be able to get into the cinema at a discounted rate, or for free, on production of a Jam Jar. This originated in North Tyneside and continued until the 1970’s when the value of glass dropped.
On joining the DCM estate, Dan Ellis remarked "Here at Jam Jar Cinema we're really excited to be joining the DCM family. It's been tough times for all cinemas and we're now looking towards 2021 with hopeful optimism. with such uncertainty we know, like many, that income from advertising will be a core revenue stream to help us rebuild, protect our staff and survive. We're confident that DCM are a good fit for us in our site in Whitley Bay. With full automation, it's one less thing for our team to worry about and we're confident the DCM team are doing their best to generate income with a clear focus on sales. Rebecca and Steve have made the transition really east and we're looking forward to a long partnership in this site, and in better times, additional sites in the future."
The Regent Street Cinema is an historic cinema situated in the heart of Regent Street. The site has recently undergone a £6m refurb and will reopen next week post lockdown, under new management with a commitment to showing on-date releases.
On joining the DCM estate, Regent Street remarked "Regent Street Cinema is incredibly happy to start a new partnership with Steve, Rebecca and the DCM team. Choosing a partner that has a fully automated operating system and clear sales strategy was the key reason we decided to work with DCM. We very much look forward to our future working relationship."
