There’s just one month to go until the release of the much-anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey movie. Advance tickets are already on sale and showings are beginning to sell out and this, coupled with high demand from advertisers looking to book into the film, means things are heating up.

With the February premiere edging ever closer, Universal Pictures released a new TV spot online earlier this week, giving fans a further glimpse into what they can expect from the film.

It’s all set to be one of the most talked about films of 2015 and, if the rumoured 18 certificate is true, fans of the book’s saucier scenes will not be disappointed. Having become a global phenomenon, the blockbuster is set to attract a broad, predominantly female audience. A huge amount of buzz has already been created online and the best-selling book’s anticipated reincarnation as a Hollywood blockbuster means brands can leverage this amazing opportunity by aligning themselves with topical themes. With the UK trailer amassing nearly 42 million views to date, there’s a lot of potential moviegoers to share a brand message with.

In the US, there is no longer any advertising airtime available for the forthcoming erotic film, with limited availability left in the UK.

With such high advertiser demand, make sure you don’t miss out and contact your DCM rep today to ensure you’re part of the Fifty Shades of Grey phenomenon.

2015 is set to be an outstanding year for advertising in cinemas too and predictions are that cinema admissions will soar to levels not seen for 40 years. With such a varied range of titles on offer, brands and advertisers will have the opportunity to engage with a number of key consumer demographics through cinema.
