Captain Marvel

2018 was Marvel’s biggest year yet, and it’s set to be matched by 2019. First up is Captain
Marvel, who will be integral to the next phase of Marvel films. If you stayed for the post-credits scene in Avengers: Infinity War you’ll have seen Nick Fury send out a call for help. That call will be answered by Captain Marvel.

Us

Jordan Peele created a sensation with his last film, Get Out, voted the best film of 2017 in both Sight And Sound and Empire, and Peele picked up an Oscar for it to boot. His follow-up is Us, intriguingly described as a ‘social-horror-thriller’ and with a mouth-watering cast, including Lupita Nyong’o and Elisabeth Moss.

What Men Want

What Women Want was a blockbuster comedy hit earlier this century, as an accident resulted in Mel Gibson hearing women’s thoughts. This gender-swap version sees Taraji P. Henson boxed out by the male sports agents in her profession, but she gains an unexpected edge over them when she develops the ability to hear their thoughts.

Dumbo

Dumbo is one of Disney’s very best films and this live-action film is not a re-make but starts its story just as the young elephant learns to fly. When the circus plans a new venture, Dumbo and his friends discover dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer. It’s one of Q1’s stand-out films.
