Nomadland wins big at the Golden Globes

Chloé Zhao made history on Sunday, becoming the first Asian woman to win Best Director at the Golden Globes and only the second woman in history to pick up the award. Nomadland, about a woman who embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van-dwelling modern-day nomad, also won Best Film in the Drama category, making it a major contender for the biggest prizes at the Oscars and BAFTAs next month. It's due in UK cinemas in May.

Daniel Kaluuya won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Judas And The Black Messiah, while Jodie Foster won Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Mauritanian. Borat Subsequent Moviefilm was another of the night's big winners with Sacha Baron Cohen winning the award for Best Actor (Musical of Comedy), while the film itself won Best Film in the Musical or Comedy category. Rosamund Pike won the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in I Care A Lot and Andra Day won the Best Actress award (Drama) for her role in the United States Vs. Billie Holiday.

The award for Best International Film went to Minari, which is expected to be in UK cinemas in May and in one of the most moving moments of the ceremony, the late Chadwick Boseman won Best Actor for his role in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. A full list of the winners can be found here.
