CEA Digital Conference – 27 Nov @ Cineworld at the O2, Greenwich, East London
The ‘Cinema of the Future: innovation driving the audience experience’ conference is open to colleagues from across the industry.
As well as providing networking opportunities, the conference will consider those benefits experienced by a now fully digital sector as well as changes that lie ahead. Key sessions on the day will consider; The opportunities presented by digital cinema operation; New cinema business models; Emerging technologies; The next round of digitisation – when this will be, what it might look like and how it might be funded.
Around 300 delegates are expected to attend from: exhibition, distribution, cinema suppliers, local authority, digital integrators, technology companies, architects/designers, property developers, financial and retail sectors. The event will be sponsored by a select number of high profile companies.
The first session, entitled ‘Managing the Digital Present’ [10.30-11.45] includes DCMs CEO Simon Rees. It will look at the additional revenue opportunities presented by digital technology, in particular the ability to show a broader range of films, better matched to available audience, and the way digitisation has brought about a step change in the attractiveness of the big screen advertisers.
