Screen International has announced the shortlist for this year’s annual Screen Awards with 10 cinema sites from DCM’s estate making the grade for the final round of judging in the Cinema of the Year – 24 Screens or Under and Cinema of the Year - 25 Screens or over categories.
DCM's recent partnership with Max Factor and Twentieth Century Fox, alongside media agency Zenith and creative agency Recipe, has also been shortlisted in the Brand Partnership of the Year category. The campaign saw Max Factor become the premium face of cinema and the first ever partner of DCM’s flagship boutique estate cinemas; Picturehouse, Everyman and Curzon. Max Factor partnered with two of the biggest hits of 2017 – Murder On The Orient Express and The Greatest Showman to create bespoke content for cinema by combining exclusive film footage with tailor-made tutorials to 'Get the Look' of the films. The campaign was also the big winner on the night at the 2018 DCM Awards last month.
The cinemas up for the prize are as follows:
Cinema of the Year (24 screens or under)
- Broadway Cinema & Theatre, Letchworth
- The Picture House Uckfield
- Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle
Cinema of the Year (25 screens or over)
- Cineworld Leicester Square
- Cineworld Stevenage
- Crouch End Picturehouse
- Curzon Oxford
- Everyman Chelmsford
- Kings Cinema Kingsbridge

The competition honours and celebrates the best of marketing, distribution and exhibition in the film industry. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony held at The Ballroom Southbank, London on 29 November.
