Skyline takes 1.2M as Due Date Stays Top

Low-budget sci-fi flick Skyline grossed a respectable £1.21m across 381 screens last weekend. The film about an alien invasion, directed by visual effects whizzes Colin and Greg Srause, stars Six Feet Under star Eric Balfour.

Due Date, starring Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifianakis held onto the top spot at the UK Box Office last weekend, taking £1.9m. Since release date two weeks ago, the film has grossed an impressive £5.8m.

Despicable Me took third place, giving Universal's animated hit a cumulative total of £18.17m. The total is higher than the first Ice Age movie, Pixar's Cars, Disney's Bolt and DreamWorks How to Train Your Dragon in the UK league table of animated hits.
