April is comic book heaven with two films for superhero fans, one of them the climax to the unbearable Avengers cliff-hanger and the most anticipated film of 2019. There’s also smart sci-fi drama and a true British acting legend returns in an upmarket drama.

Wonder Woman and Aquaman proved that DC Comics are at their best when they focus on a single superhero, so it’s good news that their next solo outing is Shazam! Billy Batson looks like just a normal teenager but by shouting out one word - SHAZAM! - this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult superhero Shazam.
