The UK Cinema Association has announced plans for a 2015 one-day conference. Following last year’s inaugural event at the Cineworld O2 in Greenwich, which looked at issues around digital cinema technology, the Association sought views on key topics for a follow-up event in 2015 and the issue of marketing and how to grow cinema audiences and revenue came out top as the most popular suggestion.

The 2015 event – Engage, Reward, Grow: Marketing the big screen experience – will take place at Picturehouse Central, London on 17 November 2015. As with last year’s event, it will be open both to Association members and to colleagues from across the wider industry.

During the day, those attending will participate in sessions looking at: what more operators might do to market the big screen experience: how they can maximise revenue from their audience; and what lessons there are to be learnt not just from within the industry but from other relevant sectors.

Again learning from last year’s event, there will be an emphasis during the day on practical examples and on interaction with the audience.

With presentations from The Coca-Cola Company and comparethemarket.com already confirmed, it will hopefully make for an interesting and inspiring day.

Tickets for the conference go on sale this week: these are £50 plus VAT for Association members and £100 plus VAT for others.
