2018 is almost at a close so it's time to announce which of the year's very best films came out on top in the DCM Film of the Year poll.
We asked each member of staff to rank their top three films of the year, with the top film getting three points, the second two points and the third one point. The film with the most points came out on top.
A wide range of different films were selected, ranging from the biggest films of the year (Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther), to some of the smaller titles (Lady Bird, American Animals) but I think we can all agree that there's a pretty terrific and eclectic selection of films in the final top ten.
Below is the final top 10 compiled from our internal poll this month:
1. A Star is Born
2. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
3. Black Panther
4. Avengers: Infinity War
5. First Man
6. A Quiet Place
7. Lady Bird
8. The Shape of Water
9. Coco
10. You Were Never Really Here
10. American Animals
10. BlacKkKlansman
Campaign Magazine has also selected their top 15 film ads of the year to celebrate December drawing to a close.
The prestigious top spot was handed to Nike's iconic Nothing Beats a Londoner campaign, with Amazon Prime, John Lewis and Sainsburys also making the top 15.
