The UK Cinema Association’s (UKCA) 2018 conference, ‘Building the big screen experience’ takes place across two days – Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 March – and is open to colleagues from across the industry.
BFI Film Audience Network hubs will be supporting the conference by offering a bursary to all their hub members. Cinema operators can claim back the cost of their conference ticket, travel and accommodation.
The criteria varies slightly between each Hub – download full details.
All applicants will need to:
- Be a FAN hub member. If you’re not, perhaps now might provide an added incentive to join;
- Book tickets, travel and accommodation in advance and provide proof of purchase;
- Complete a survey or submit a report regarding their attendance at the event (varies between each Hub);
- All claims must be submitted before the event takes place, with dates varying between each Hub.

The conference will be held at one of London’s most iconic cinema venues, Cineworld The O2, Greenwich. As well as providing valuable networking opportunities, the conference will take an in-depth look at digital marketing and e-commerce and at the role of cinemas in leisure and regeneration projects.
