Use Your Little Screen to Get More from Vue Magazine and Cinime

Digital Cinema Media has teamed up with Vue magazine to create the first ever interactive issue, enabled with cinime, the cinema companion mobile app. The June/July print magazine is now available in Vue cinemas nationwide and cinime users can use the app’s inbuilt scanner to activate bonus content, such as movie trailers when they scan selected features and film ads, as well as the front cover. After watching the trailer, cinime users can add the film’s release date to their phones’ calendars and book tickets via Vue’s mobile site, when available. Readers also have a chance to win a £50 cinema voucher via the app.

The bi-monthly title, produced by Publicis Blueprint, features a calendar of film releases and reviews plus exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes information. It has been shortlisted for a Marketing Week Engage Award and owing to popular demand, as film fans plan their cinema trips, Vue increased its circulation by 20 per cent in March to 250,000.

Brands wishing to complement on screen activity with a print ad in the magazine can also now use cinime to interact with cinemagoers, by offering bonus content, rewards or competitions through the app.
