If you hadn’t heard, David Brent’s back, as this summer Ricky Gervais will bring his cringe-worthy character from hit TV show The Office to the big screen in feature release, Life on the Road.
Men’s shower gel and deodorant brand, Right Guard, has endorsed the character by championing Life on the Road in a creative collaboration that will see an exclusive clip from the film air in UK cinemas this weekend during the ad reel screened before three of the summer’s biggest films; Suicide Squad, Star Trek Beyond and Jason Bourne.
And seeing that exclusive clip could land viewers with tickets for next week’s world premiere on the red carpet at Leicester Square. As a sales rep, it's a partnership Brent himself would be proud of.
David Brent: Life on the Road distributor, Entertainment One, and Digital Cinema Media are giving away three pairs of tickets to next week’s world premiere of the film and to be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is go to the cinema this weekend, watch the exclusive Brent clip and tweet @digital_cinema_news, telling them what happens in said clip, using #brentsback. Simple.
Working with media agency MEC, film distributor Entertainment One and Digital Cinema Media, Right Guard will air the clip in between an opening ident and its latest spot, The Gym, created through TBWA Germany.
The cinema trailer execution marks the first time an exclusive movie clip has been aired during the cinema ad reel and offers David Brent fans a peek of what’s to come on in the upcoming film.
The lucky ticket winners will be announced on Monday 8 August with more details about how to claim tickets.
