The 96th Academy Awards Ceremony took place on Sunday 10 March at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The big winner of the night was, once again, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.

This was the first Oscar winn for Christopher Nolan, Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr..
Emma Stone won her second Oscar for Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in Poor Things, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph was awarded the Oscar for Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in The Holdovers. Poor Things also won Academy Awards for Costume Design, Makeup and Hairstyling and Production Design, bringing the film’s total to four awards.
Anatomy of a Fall won Original Screenplay and American Fiction won Adapted Screenplay. When accepting the award for Adapted Screenplay, American Fiction writer Cord Jefferson implored Hollywood that “Instead of making one $200 million movie, try making 20 $10 million movies, or 50 $4 million movies… Up-and-coming filmmakers just want a shot, and we can give them one.”
The Zone of Interest won the award for International Feature Film, and The Boy and the Heron received the Oscar for Animated Feature Film.
