X-Men: Apocalypse is in cinemas today and to celebrate the occasion, MyMovies caught up with director, Bryan Singer, for an exclusive interview about what to expect from the latest in the franchise.
The movie sees Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, recruit a team of other powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence), with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy), must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
In the interview, Singer talks about the characters and themes in the film and what the X-Men universe means to him.
